编辑方针是编辑工作的指导性方针,是编辑活动的行动指南。编辑方针的作用有多种多样,其中最主要的有:规定和决定了编辑的方向、行为和内容;规定和决定了编辑的用稿标准和规格;规定和决定了编辑的风格和形式;规定和决定了报刊出版物影响力的深度与广度;规定和决定了编辑的工作作风和工作态度。

Editing guidelines are the guiding principles for editorial work, and the guide to action for editorial activities. Among the different functions played by the editorial guidelines, the primary ones are as follows： prescribing and determining the direction, behavior and contents of editing; setting the standards of accepting manuscripts; determining the editing style and form; judging the depth and breadth of the publications＇ effect, and prescribing the editors＇ working style and working attitude.
