Robert Bly’s Source of Poetry from China

美国当代重要诗人勃莱从模仿中国古代诗歌开始从事诗歌创作,他的代表作如《雪野宁静》、《树将在此屹立一千年》、《从床上跳起》、《远行的冲动》等都表现出强烈的中国诗歌特质以及中国传统文化思想倾向。究其原因,除了诗人本人的个人兴趣与选择外,还有诗人的本土意识及个人诗学建构使然。

The contemporary American distinguished poet Robert Bly started his literary career with modeling upon the ancient Chinese poetry. His masterpieces like Silence in the Snowy Fields, The Tree Will Stand Here for a Thousand Years, Jumping out of Bed, and The Urge to Travel Long Distances show the qualities of ancient Chinese poetry as well as the inclination of traditional Chinese culture. Except for Bly＇s personal interest and choice, his sense of nativeness and the need for personal poetics construction are the two major factors leading to Bly＇s turning to ancient Chinese poetry and culture.
