SOLVENT EFFECT ON ABSORPTION SPECTRA OF ORGANIC AZO-DYES

本文作者测定了四个有机偶氮染料在九种溶剂中的可见吸收光谱。发现染料的最大吸收峰相应的波数V_(max)^(UV)(cm^(-1))与溶剂的[(n^2-1)/2n^2+1]、[(ε-n^2)(2ε+n^2)]/[ε(n+2)~2]和[(ε-1)/(ε+2)-(n^2-1)/(n^2+2)]间存在着较好的线性关系。还就染料与溶剂间的色散力,诱导力,偶极力的相互作用进行了讨论。

The absorption spectra of four organic azo-dyes in nine solvents have been determined. It is found that maximal wave number V_(max)^(UV) of the compounds varied linearly with(n^2-1/2n^2+1)。 [(ε-n^2)(2ε+n^2)/ε(n+2)~2] and (ε-1/ε+2)-(n^2-1/n^2+2). And the interactions of dyes and solvents in disperse force, induced force, and dipole force have also been discussed.
