A Brief Statement Salt Ambitious Person and Confraternity in the Late Qing Dynasty

以长江中下游为中心的江淮地区是晚清私盐较为活跃的一个区域,特别是盐枭走私异常猖獗。这一阶段的盐枭集团不仅自身成份复杂、组织严密、分工明确,而且还与当时的两大主要帮会组织——青、红帮联手合流、交通融合、串通一气,共同泛滥于江淮地区。

Jianghuai region situated at middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River was an active region of private salt in the late Qing Dynasty and in particular, salt ambitious persons were abnormal rampant smuggling. In this phase, their own composition of the salt ambitious persons group were not only complex, well-organized and clear division, but also united the two major leagues - green and red gangs.
