To calculate production cost and the main financial indexes of oxirane produced by methanol way and ethylene way, Using the methanol way to produce oxirane has obvious cost advantages under the high oil price atmosphere. The oxirane cost difference by methanol way and ethylene way is increased from 213 yuan/t to 803 yuan/t during 2003-2007 at average oil price 52 USD/bbl, and in 2007 at oil price 72 USD/bbl, respectively.
