摘要
中国新人文主义思潮包括直接继承白璧德新人文主义的学衡派和梁实秋的文化运作,以及未受白璧德影响但在精神上与之契合的观念运作,主要出自于新人文主义先驱者辜鸿铭和各个世代的新儒家。这一思潮偏向于对文学资源的片面开发,思潮的运作者对新人文主义的服膺与契合意向往往侧重于文学写作、文学批评或文学研究文本。新儒学家们在尊崇传统文化和揭示传统文化价值内涵的意义上言说中国文学史现象,其文字属于文学的学术本体的写作结果,辜鸿铭以及学衡派文人通过文学视角进行社会批评、文化批评和文明批评,其新之于文学领域的基本建树主要体现在批评本体意义上。
New Humanist Trend in China contains such thoughts of Irving Babbitt's humanistic tradition as being advocated by the writers of Xueheng School and Liang Shiqiu, and the thoughts sharing Babbitt's spirit, such as Gu Hongming's and those of New Confucianists of different generations. Both of these trends are inclined to partially develop literary resources. The advocates are in accord with Babbitt's New Humanism in literary writing, literary criticism and literary research. Their writings in the tradition of New Humanism belong to such literary academic noumenon as New Confucianists' discussions about Chinese literature in traditional culture, and such literary criticism noumenon as critical writings of Gu Hongming and the writers of Xueheng School.
