"文明冲突论"具有双重含义:在国际政治上,它颠覆了西方文明具有普世性这个命题,但又通过对西方文明独特性的强调而重构了这个命题,其意是要劝喻西方国家深根固本,宁静志远。在国内政治上,它又显示了美国白人对日益活跃的少数族裔的恐惧和敌视。概言之,它既昭示了以美国为首的西方对非西方世界的深闭固拒,也显现了美国白人的惟我独尊。

The theory ＂the clash of civilizations＂ has two meanings： On the international relations,it puts importance on the idea that the west civilizations haven＇t strong popularity, but enough peculiarity, which means that the west should make its base stronger and refuse to accept the importance of the non - west forever. In the domestic politics, it shows the White＇ s shock and hate, and what＇ s more , the deep arrogance when they face the burgeoning minor ethnics.
