Linguistic Life in Multi-ethnic Group Families——Taking Huizhongling Village for Example

潮汕等其他族群妇女的嫁入,使得广东省揭阳市揭东县的会中岭村出现了客家丈夫与其他族群的妻子组成的多族群家庭。在这种多族群家庭中,由于妻子与丈夫及其他家人各自的母语背景不同、采取的语言使用策略不同,家庭语言生活渐趋复杂多样。

In Huizhongling Village in Guangdong Province, with women of other ethnic groups in Chaozhou and Shantou marrying with men in the village, there are multi-ethnic group families in which husbands are Hakka and wives are of different ethnic groups. In these families, linguistic life diversifies as the husbands, the wives and other family members have different linguistic backgrounds and adopt different linguistic strategies.
