On the Principles of Talents′ Cultivation in Applied-Type Universities

应用型高校在人才培养过程中,应坚持"五个结合"的原则,即:全面教育与个性发展相结合,科学教育与人文教育相结合,通识教育与专业教育相结合,知识传授和能力培养相结合,人才培养与学科建设相结合。惟有如此,才能培养出适应社会经济发展的人才。

Applied-type universities should insist on the principles of ＂Five Combinations＂ during the talents＇ cultivation, namely, the combination of all-round education and the individuality development, science education and humanities education, general education and professional education, knowledge-teaching and ability-developing, and talents＇ cultivation and discipline construction. Only in this way can talents be trained to adapt to the social and economic development. To foster talents for research university, it requires correct talent-quality philosophy and reasonable teaching-quality system. In order to develop an innovative nation and strengthen the nation through talents, research university should take the philosophy the theory of overall quality management. To of three-dimensional talent-quality as orientation, being supported with do so, it furthers to optimize programs, teacher recruitment and motiration mechanism, meanwhile, research university should take reforms in some vital practical areas such as the methods and means of assessment supervision to make them as scientific as it can be.
