Research on Prehistoric Metal Technology in Xinjiang,China

对新疆史前时期的金属技术进行了探讨,内容包括三个方面:即新疆史前考古的发展状况、新疆冶金考古的研究进展以及尚待研究的问题.该研究为全面揭示新疆的早期物质文化特征提供了一个新的视角,也有助于更好地认识新疆在早期东西文化交流史上的地位和影响.

This paper briefly reviews many major recent progress in the studies of archaeological typology; the scientific analysis and cultural background of early metal artefacts in Xinjiang. It is hoped the exploration of metal technology would help us to study prehistoric cultures in Xinjiang from a new perspective. It is also essential to enrich further our knowledge of the cultural contact between the East and the west.
