As a famous philosopher and mathematician in the world, Bertrand Russell＇s thoughts on education have their particularities. He claims that universities should develop the student＇s professional ability, and lay equal stress on academics. University teachers should have able to do academic research. They not only know how to teach, but also how to enhance their own expertise. Meanwhile, he points out that academic freedom of university should show unity of power and responsibility. His thoughts on university education may he unsystematic, yet as a great master in philosophy, these thoughts are remarkable already.
