语言的对比、比较与翻译有着非常直接的关系。要确定两种语言中的表达在翻译上是否对应,就必须对语言中的词汇、语法、篇章、语用等方面进行对比与比较。鉴于语言翻译中词汇的翻译是句子和篇章翻译的基础,本文拟从词汇的音译与意译活动中,探讨其在英汉翻译中的一些原则。

The contrastive and comparative analysis of language has great effect on translation. How to translate one language into another depends on the contrastive and comparative analysis of vocabulary, grammar, content and pragmatics, etc. This paper discusses vocabulary translation in pronunciation and meaning in order to obtain its appropriate and effective conveyance from English into Chinese, in view of vocabulary being, the basis in sentence and article translation.
