内心独白是演绎意识流程的一种特殊语体。乔伊斯最先发现了现代意识流内心独白语体的最初样式,并在《尤利西斯》中进行深度开发。深度发掘潜意识流程的非理性成分,将传统独白的哲理化开发成生活口语化与谜语化,将传统独白的单向思维改建为双向或多向思维定势,将类比联想开发成通感联想独白等,均是乔伊斯在《尤利西斯》中深度开发意识流内心独白语体的主要艺术手段,这标志着意识流语体技法的全方位实验和高度成熟。

Interior monologue is a kind of special writing style demonstrating the stream of the consciousness. Joyce discovers the initial mode of the writing style of interior monologue of the stream of consciousness, and exploits it in ULYSSES. This paper holds that Joyce reforms the old-pattern and makes a further exploration of it mainly through the following artistic means： revealing the non-rational elements of the stream of suhconsciousness, transferring the philosophization of the traditional monologue to the daily spoken language, or difficuh puzzles, transforming traditional monologues＇ one-way thought patterns into hi-dimensional or multi-dimensional thought patterns, developing the analogy association into synaesthesia-analogy association monologues etc. These mark an all-round experiment on the writing style of the stream of consciousness and its maturity.
