Studying and Developing the Motivation of Autonomy and Independent Learning in College English Teaching

本文通过分析自主学习在发展学生语言能力方面的重要作用,提出培养学生的学习自主是一个渐进的过程。通过分析影响自主学习动机的因素,着重论述了如何在大学英语教学中培养和拓展学生的学习自主,尤其是在教学实践中,如何通过材料和任务的选择与设置来帮助发展学生的学习自主。

This paper analyzes the importance of developing learner＇s autonomy and independent learning in learning a foreign language, and proposes that cultivating student＇s independent learning ability is a continuous process. The focus of this paper is on how different factors influence the motivation of autonomy and how to foster the development of learner autonomy in college English classes. The author also explores how to develop learner autonomy through the selection and design of materials, tasks and activities in teaching practice.
