The realization of multimedia database of example based on the Authorware

本文旨在探讨如何在传统关系数据库的基础上实现一个多媒体数据库管理系统。该系统利用了多媒体著作软件AUTHORWARE的多媒体制作功能,根据关系数据库管理字符、数值的原理,采用SQL语言编程并通过ODBC访问数据库,结合ActiveX控件技术,解决了在关系数据库中实现多媒体数据库管理系统。实例结果表明借助Authorware著作软件实现对图像、视频、动画等多媒体数据的直接管理是可行的。

The paper research how to realize a multimedia-database-management system based on tradition relation database. The system adopts to Authorware mutilmedia making function, for example： it adopts the language programming of SQL, visits the database through ODBC according to the traditional database administration character and principle of number value, combines ActiveX controlling part technology, and solve and realize multimedia database system based on related database. The result of instance indicates that it is feasible to realize the direct managementto such multimedia data as the picture, video, cartoon, etc. in Authorware.
