北京在奥运会《申办报告》中曾承诺:"北京2008年奥运会组委会将举办一系列的传播教育活动,从而使奥林匹克精神在中国4亿青少年中得到最广泛的普及。"经过几年的实践,中国的奥林匹克教育基本具有6大特点:一是普及广泛,覆盖全国;二是政府支持,形成合力;三是注重创新,形成特色;四是融入教育,促进发展;五是借助媒体,推动工作;六是以校为本,常态模式。最终形成了一套"以校为本"的奥林匹克教育模式。

First, the populari- zation is widespread, covers the nation. Second, the government supports, forms with joint forces. Third,pays great attention to innovate, forms the characteristic. Fourth, in- tegrates the education,the promotion development. Fifth,draw support from the media , promotes the work. Sixth, take the school as basic, the habit pattern. Finally has formed a set ＂take the school as basic＂ Olympics educational pattern.
