Race is central to American experience. America has always been a land of racial diversity. As a political writer, Walker explores the perplexity of blaekness and whiteness and racial identity, means to build the racial identity through the construction of interracial relationship. Such focus on the racial condition and problems fully embodies Walker' s human concern on black people, and it provides a useful solution for other writers.
