The Complexity of Xu Zhimo's Imitation of Thomas Hardy

20世纪初,在诗歌艺术地理论和创作上,对徐志摩产生较大影响的西方作家有几人,其中托马斯.哈代是最重要的一位。主要分析徐志摩与哈代的关系,并剖析徐志摩模仿和译介哈代作品的缘由。对二者在性格,人生哲学及类似的求真精神等方面来论证哈代对徐志摩的影响。

Early in the 20th century, among those western writers who had influenced Xu Zhimo,Thomas Hardy was the most important one for his poetry creation. This paper tends to explore the relationship between Xu Zhimo and Thomas Hardy, and to analyze the cause of Xu＇ s translation and imitation of Thomas Hardy＇ s works. Meanwhile, their similar personality, philosophy, and pursuit of reality will be demonstrated.
