This paper introduces the constituents and characteristies of river sediment, elaborates its hazards on water quality and conducts researches on the traditional treatment, sanitary landfall, marine jettison, composting, hot and dry- burning, pointing .out the direction of river sediment reclamation disposal and some existed problems.
