Three Topics about Buddhist Culture of Jinyang

众多的寺庙反映了古都晋阳的佛教盛况。惠明寺旧址的舍利塔可能是隋朝仁寿舍利塔。日本高僧圆仁《入唐求法巡礼行记》卷三记载了唐文宗开成五年在晋阳的所见所闻,这些都是我们研究晋阳佛教文化的珍贵资料。

A lot of temples reflect the Buddhism prosperousness of Jinyang, the ancient capital. The stupa at the old site of Huiming Temple might be the Renshou Stupa in Sui Dynasaty. In the third volume of Notes on the Journey to TangKingdom for Seeking Buddhism Doctrine, Japanese eminent monk Yuanren recorded what he had seen and heard in Jinyang in the Kaicheng fifth year of Tang Wenzong. All these are the precious materials for us to research the Buddhism culture of Ancient Jinyang.
