On Harmony—Core Idea of Beijing 2008 People′s Olympics

人与人、人与自然、人与身心的和谐是国学大典中提出的最基本的做人理念。和谐强调天地合一,天人合一。2008年北京奥运会把绿色奥运、科技奥运和人文奥运列为奥运会的三大理念,而人文奥运又是核心。和谐是治邦安国的基本条件,和谐是构建社会稳定的基础,和谐更是社会发展的重要保证,所以和谐是2008年北京人文奥运的核心理念。

Harmony between people, between people and nature and between people and mind is the basic concept of being a person in Chinese national culture. Harmony focuses on the unity of Heaven and Earth and the unity of Heaven and man. Green Olympics Hi-Tech Ohpmpics and Peoplers Olympics are the three themes of the Beijing 2008 Olympics,among which Peoplers Olympics is the core theme. Harmony is the basis for running the state and stablizing the society as well as the guanantee of the social development. Therefore, harmony is the core theme of the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
