Stepping-motor is a kind of digital controlled motor. It can turn the pulse signal to the angle displacement, and it has been widely used in opened digital position controller. In the Microtome-Cryostat, stepping-motor is adopted to drive the thread-axes. The digital controller adopts AT89C52. It has been validated with the experimentation that this system can achieve a steady orientation and an accurate horizontal displacement of the tissue holder.
