Synthesis of Chlorquinaldol

氯喹那多（chlorquinaldol，1）是化学合成的广谱抗菌剂，对接触性感染的病原体有效，二十世纪中期上市，可作皮肤外用软膏、油剂或阴道软膏的主要抗菌活性成份。由摩纳哥Theramex药厂研制生产的1-普罗雌烯（promestriene）阴道片[商品名：可宝净（Colposeptine）]，于1978年首先在法国上市，多年来一直是女性阴道感染治疗的一线药物。

With 2-methyl-8-hydroxyquinoline as the starting material, chlorquinaldol was synthesized by chlorination in formic acid in yield of 85 % - 90 %. This process reduces the cost and the pollution to environment by reusing formic acid.
