The purification technologies of monoclonal antibodies are reviewed and the key practical issues and approaches on the unit operation of monoclonal antibody purification processes are discussed. The purification methods, simulated moving bed chromatography, aqueous two-phase extraction and membrane chromatography, which could be operated easily and continuously at lower costs, were introduced.
