L系统是虚拟植物研究的重要方法。本文描述了L系统的基本特征、图形解释含义,阐述了各类L系统的基本概念:D0L系统、随机L系统、上下文关联L系统、参数L系统、微分L系统和开放式L系统。对L系统在国内的应用进行了全面介绍。
The concept of L-systems was developed as a mathematical theory of plant development in 1968 by Aristid Lindenmayer. Subsequently, some scientists proposed several geometric interpretations and complemented the theory, turning the L-systems into a versatile tool for plant modeling. This paper introduced the basic concepts, important principles, and graphic interpretations of L-systems. Different types of L-systems were illuminated with examples as well, including DOL-systems, Stochastic L-systems, Context-sensitive L-systems, Parametric L-systems, differential L-systems and open L-systems. At last, the application of L- systems in China was specified.
