The post-modern novel, The French Lieutenant＇ s Woman, is analyzed from the author＇s technique of parody. The author, John Fowles＇ nimble utilization of the technique of parody in this novel is discussed profoundly from the aspects as follows： to parody the moral standard of Victorian Age, to parody the literary quotation in Bible, and to parody Thomas Hardy＇s Tess.
