Discussion on Yu Xin's Using Literary Quotation with No Trace in His Parallel Prose

庾信是南北朝骈赋大家,其骈赋"使事无迹"历来为评家所称赞,这主要得益于他使事用典之技巧以及古典与今情的融会。尽管如此,但有时终究难免出现左支右绌的现象,这是由他宁以情害典,而不以典害情造成的。

Yu Xin was a master writer on parallel prose in the Northern and Southern Dynasties. His using literary quotation with no trace has been praised by the critics, which mainly due to his skills on using literary quotation and fusing ancient allusions and the feelings at that time together. For all that, the phenomenon of contradictions between allusions and feelings is still inevitable, which caused by his prefer his feelings not allusions.
