通过对西方城市公园发展的四个阶段(田园模式发展时期、对称几何式盛行时期、实用主义设计时期、多层次发展时期)的研究,以及具有代表性的实例研究,力图寻找城市公园发展的脉络,从而为当代城市公园的建设和发展提供具有借鉴意义的宝贵经验。

Through the study of the four-stages development of the western city park （ the development period of Garden city, the period of Geometric garden, the period of Pragmatism garden, the multi-levels development period ）and the examples of representation, finding the process of urban park development, guiding contemporary urban park construction and development.
