高校图书馆协助馆员的利用与管理

On the Utilization and Management of the Assisting Academic Librarians

近几年来,随着高校招生人数的不断扩大,万人大学比比皆是,高校图书馆建设呈现出规模化趋势,业务发展迅猛,而人员编制又紧缺,工作人员长期以来处于超负荷运转状态,给图书馆的读者服务和管理带来一系列的困难。如何充分挖掘现有资源为读者服务成了一个迫在眉睫的问题,笔者结合实际,就高校图书馆另辟蹊径,选拔、利用贫困大学生为"协助馆员",参与协助图书馆的读者服务与管理提出了一些建设性的意见与建议供同行参考。

The recent years have witnessed more universities enrolling more than 10 000 students and a tendency of the construction of academic libraries showing an increasingly large scale. All these have posed a great challenge and difficulty to the service and management of the libraries which are already overloaded and understaffed. How to make good use of the present resources to serve the readers in a better way becomes an urgent problem. Based on their own practice, this paper probes another way to solve this problem by selecting and employing the needy students to assistant the management and service providing process. Hopefully, the proposals and measures mentioned here may of some help to our counterparts home and abroad.
