Participation in piano competition can not only test and promote piano eductioin effect but alto build a platform for the fair competition and experience exchange of piano learners. How to be well prepared before the competition has become a chiefproblem ofeach guiding teacher and student. This paper eloborates four important factors in turn including music selection, spectrum reading, practice and improvement so as to melt teachers and students into a harmonious community in the process of teaching and learning and therefore lay a solid foundation for excellent achievement.
