民间文艺、通俗文艺和大众文艺是历史上曾经依次出现过的审美文化形态,它们都是特定历史时期的产物,具有那个时代的独特烙印。不仅如此,而且它们在本质内涵、生产方式、消费模式、传播途径及作品功能等方面也有很大差异。民间文艺是来自下层集体创作的口传文艺;而通俗文艺是下层文人个人志趣的文化表达。弄清这一问题,对于建设正在展开的我国当代大众审美文化很有启发意义。
