Ways of financing maritime trade in ancient Greece

古风时代希腊海上贸易融资主要有3种形式:自筹资金、代理融资、抵押借贷。公元前5世纪中后期,海事贷款成为海上贸易融资的主要手段。在公元前4世纪雅典特殊政治经济环境中,海事贷款获得迅速发展。

Generally speaking, there were three ways of financing the maritime trade in archaic Greece： self-financing trade, agent financing trade, mortgage loans. Late in 5th century B C, maritime loans became prevailing method to get the necessary capital for maritime traders. In the special political and economic circumstances in the 4th century B C, maritime loans boomed in Athens.
