1977-1978年南阳出现严重干旱，南阳西郊膨胀土地区发生大规模房屋开裂损坏。介绍了房屋开裂损坏的特征，分析了导致房屋损坏的原因，提出了预防和整治措施。
During 1977-1978 there was seriously drought in Nanyang expansive soil region, a great number of houses and public buildings underwent subsidence and cracking. The characters of building damages are introduced, the damage causes are discussed, and some precautions against building cracking and the measures are suggested.
