The Subjectivity of Metaphor——A Case Study of "Fortress Besieged"

文章以《围城》中的隐喻为例探讨隐喻的主观性。语言的主观性是指语言的这样一种特性,即在话语中多少总是包含有说话人"自我"的表现成分。近年来,语言学家开始对语言的主观性给予充分的关注。具有体验性的隐喻是人类认识世界的一种基本认知方法,必然具有主观性。隐喻的主观性主要表现在三个方面:隐喻表达说话人的视角、情感和认识。

This paper studies the subjectivity of metaphor based on the cases from the novel ＂Fortress Besieged＂. Subjectivity means that linguistic expressions are more or less characterized by a feature of a speaker self. In recent years, subjectivity of language has been given wide attention in linguistic field. As a cognitive thinking mode embodying human experience, metaphor is featured by subjectivity which can be examined in terms of a speaker＇s perspective,affect ,and epistemic status.
