摘要
"本体论承诺"是蒯因的本体论思想:存在就是成为变项的值。这一思想不仅在哲学,尤其在科学哲学上产生了重大的影响,而且在科学上同样有着重要的意义。本文在简略分析了本体论承诺的思想内涵之后,从多方面探讨了这一思想在科学上的意义。我们并不打算全面、系统地考察蒯因的科学思想和基本观念,而只是从本体论承诺的角度考察这一理论在科学上的意义。
Ontological commitment is Quine＇s thought for ontology： to be is to be the value of bound variables. The thought had have not only important influence in Philosophy, especially in Philosophy of Science, but also the same meaning in Science. After briefly analyzing the thought of Ontological Commitment in this article, we research the meaning for the thought from many ways in Science. But we don＇t overall systematically research Quine＇s scientific thought and basic nation, we only research its meaning in Science from Ontological Commitment.
