Supported bimetallic Pd Fe catalysts prepared by impregnating the nonpolar polystyrene divinyl benzene crosslinked adsorbing resins (D 3520 , D 4006 , D 16 , D 14 ) with solution of PdCl 2 and FeCl 3·6H 2O were studied. The Pd Fe/D 3520 catalyst had good activity and selectivity for the hydrogenation of chloronitrobenzenes and showed the prospects for industrial application. The structure of Pd Fe/D 3520 catalyst has been stuided by Mssbauer and XPS spectra and the results showed that Fe 3+ , Fe 2+ and Pd 0 existed on the catalyst surface.
