Liu Zongyuan and Book of Mountains and Seas (Shan Hat Jing )

柳宗元对《山海经》的接受是相当深刻的,如向《山海经》取材;他一部分的山水游记在句式和书写方面也表露了他对《山海经》尤其是对《五藏山经》行文的喜爱,并学习、模仿形成简洁雅净的风格。通过分析柳宗元对《山海经》的接受,也探究出他的诗文和楚文化有深层的渊源关系。

Liu Zongyuan had a very deep acceptance of Book of Mountains and Seas , applying lots of material from it; the sentence patterns and writing style in some of his landscape travel journals reveal his favor for Book. of Mountains and Seas , especially Wucang Shah Jing , and his imitation of its concise and neat writing style. By analyzing Liu Zongyuan＇ s acceptance of Book of Mountains and Seas , this paper is to explore the deep origin relation between his writing and Chu culture.
