The Cultivation of Students' Reading Ability in English Teaching of Vocational and Technical Colleges

在各类大学英语考试中,阅读题占有相当大的比重。然而高职高专学生得分不尽人意,阅读能力普遍较差。本文就高职高专英语教学中如何提高学生的阅读能力进行探讨。

Reading is considered as the most important way to get information. In all kinds of college English exams, reading com- prehension is a very important part, while college students usually get low scores and are very bad at reading. How to improve the students＇ reading ability becomes a hot topic in English teaching. This paper mainly discusses how to cultivate students＇ reading ability in college English teaching and puts forward some approaches for teaching reading.
