Tracing the Poetic Beauty in the Dialogue with Shakespeare:Mr.Fang Ping’s Translation and Study of Shakespeare’s Works

方平先生将毕生心血倾注于莎士比亚作品的翻译与研究之中,在中国莎士比亚研究领域作出了杰出的贡献。他领衔主译主编的诗体《新莎士比亚全集》是一部完全独立于以往中国其他翻译家翻译的"莎士比亚全集"新译本,他的诗体译本使中国读者有了一个不同于其他全集的新选择。他在实践自己的翻译主张的前提下,通过翻译式的细读,在莎士比亚研究中提出了自己独到的见解。

Mr. Fang Ping devoted his entire life to the translation and study of Shakespeare＇ s works and made significant contribution to the Shakespeare Studies in China. His ＂The New Complete Works of William Shakespeare＂ is a completly new translation. The verse form provides a new choice to Chinese readers. Mr. Fang Ping also gave some original ideas in the Shakespeare Studies by his translating.
