On the Counter-reaction of Literature on Advanced Culture

文学对先进文化的反作用突出地表现在:一是及时表现已出现的先进文化。表现的方法是对其诗化或艺术化,主要体现在意象选择、叙事艺术和情感评价等方面。二是对即将出现的先进文化进行探测。探测的前提条件是作家要有敏锐的感受力和预见力、真实地书写现实关系的能力和艺术创新能力。三是能够超越特定时期的先进文化。只有在文学作品中,人们才能摆脱社会分工带来的差异,摆脱功利性束缚,实现全面发展,实现人生的艺术化。

The counter-reaction of literature on advanced culture is manifested in the following ways. First, literature can rep- resent in a timely manner the emerging advanced culture. Such representation is carried out artistically, mainly manifested in the choice of images, art of narration and emotional evaluation. Secondly, it can sound the advanced culture which is to e- merge. The prerequisite for such sounding is that writers should have the power of sensitive feeling and prediction, the ability to describe faithfully the relations of reality and the ability of artistic innovation. Thirdly, it can transcend the advanced cul- ture of a specific era. Only in literary works can people shake off the differences brought about by division of labour in society and the utilitarian restraints, to realize people＇s all-round development and the artistic promotion of life.
