英汉互译中的模糊性语言及其翻译策略

Fuzziness of language and its strategies of translation between English and Chinese

通过从英汉两种语言的词、句子、语篇等层面出发,分析了英汉语言中客观存在的模糊现象,阐述了模糊性是语言的基本属性之一并在一定程度上决定了人们的翻译性质和翻译方式,指出了在英汉互译过程中,译者要敏锐地认识存在于源语和目的语中的模糊性语言,并采取恰当的翻译策略,这样才有助于调和、妥协英汉两种语言文化差异所产生的矛盾,保障信息完整、准确地传输。

Proceeding from the level of word, sentence and discourse of English and Chinese,this article analyzed the fuzzy phenomena that exist objectively in English and Chinese, and expounded fuzziness is one of basic language natures and decides people＇s translating nature and methods to a certain degree, and pointed out that in the translation between English and Chinese, translator must acutely realize the fuzzy languages existing in the source and target language, and adopt proper translating strategies. It is helpful for us to attemper and compromise the contradictions due to the cultural differences between English and Chinese, then ensure the full and correct transmission of information.
