压实是沥青路面施工的最后一道工序，若采用了优质的筑路材料，精良的拌和与摊铺设备及良好的施工技术，摊铺出了较理想的混合料层，而良好的路面质量最终要通过碾压来体现。如果碾压中任何质量缺陷，必将前功尽弃。因此，必须重视压实工作。

Compaction is the last procedure of asphalt pavement construction. High quality materials,excellent mixing and paving equipments,as well as good construction skills work together for a relatively optimal mixture pavement; anyhow,high quality highway pavements can not be constructed without good compaction. Therefore,pavement compaction must be give enough attention.
