Mongolian and Tibetan Affairs Commission and Education in Border Areas during the Period of the Republic of China

蒙藏委员会是民国时期政府设立的专门负责管理蒙藏等少数民族地区事务的机构。蒙藏委员会对于边疆少数民族地区的教育起了一定的推动作用。民国时期,边疆少数民族地区的教育水平得到了一定程度的发展,民族意识也得到了一定的加强。

Mongolian and Tibetan Affairs Commission was an organ set up by the government of the Republic of China to handle affairs in Mongolia, Tibet and other ethnic minority regions. It played the role of promoting education in ethnic border areas to some extend. During the period of the Republic of China, the educational level in ethnic minority border areas was raised and ethnic awareness was strengthened.
