浅析汉语表达的间接性

On Indirectness of Chinese Expression

对英汉表达从以下三个方面进行对比分析:在书面语方面,英文行文方式为"直线型",而汉语则为"螺旋式";在口语表达中,西方人会直接表明自己的观点,而中国人则会采用间接的方式表明自己的意图;在身势语方面,中国人比西方人的间接程度要高。通过对比分析,发现汉语更多地使用间接表达方式,原因在于中西方不同文化背景下形成的不同个性和思维方式的差异。

This paper compares and analyzes the expression patterns between English ＆ Chinese from the following three aspects： on written form, English expression is linear formed, while Chinese is spiral formed： on oral form, the Westerns express their ideas directly, while the Chinese indirectly： on body language, as to the degree of indirectness, the Chinese expression is higher than that of Westerns. Based on the above analysis, we may say that more indirect expressions are employed in Chinese. The reason is that there are great differences on characteristics and thinking patterns between the Western ＆ the Chinese.
