Green construction is an important means of implementing sustainable development for construction industry. The paper introduces the concept and development status of China＇s green construction, analyzes the reasons affecting the development of China＇s green construction, such as civic awareness, economic consideration, technical management, management system and evaluation standards. The paper also proposes the development strategies, such as strengthening the concept of green construction, stre celerating ngthening policy guidance, accelerating technological research, improving management system and developing evaluation system.
