Ideological and Political Education Examined by the Theory of Symbol Interaction

思想政治教育,是教育双方借助于各种符号系统所传递的教育信息而相互作用、相互沟通和相互理解的精神交往过程。在这一过程中,思想政治教育应综合运用多种符号系统,大力增强思想政治教育信息传递的有效性;提倡互为主体意识,积极营造平等互动的良好氛围;贴近生活世界,努力构建教育双方共通的意义空间;注重社会实践,着力培养教育对象的道德判断力。

Ideological and political education is a process of spiritual communication between the giver and the taker in which the two sides interact, communicate and reach a mutual understanding by using educational information conveyed by various symbol systems. In the process, ideological and political education should use different symbol systems, strengthen the effectiveness of information transmission, promote the sense of subject, actively create a good environment for equal interaction, stay close with the real world and create a sense space for both sides, and attach importance to social practice, trying to cultivate the ability of moral judgment of the receiver of the education.
