收录于《四库全书》的十部明代《四书》著作基本体现出明代《四书学》阐发深至、注重体认经义等特点。《四书大全》虽然是因为其负面影响而被收入《四库全书》,但是在历史上它的价值并非仅具有弋获功名之用,同时它也被当作宋元《四书》文献的集成著作来使用。
