Little Punctuation Marks Count Much——Talk Also on the Punctuation Problems in English Writing

本文在呼应王芳、张立坤的《英文写作中的标点问题》(载2007年8月《疯狂英语教师版》)一文的基础上,指出了英文写作中的其它易被初学者忽略的一些问题,如英文标点的母语迁移,逗号粘连,引号的位置和大小写问题,连字符与分行的问题等,同时对王、张一文的个别地方做了一些修正。

The present paper echoes the article ＂On the Punctuation Mistakes in English Writing＂ written by Wang Fang and Zhang Likun published on Crazy English （Teacher＇s Edition） in August, 2007. Apart from some modifications of their article, the paper highlights some other problems likely to be neglected by beginners in English writing, such as the transfer of Chinese punctuation knowledge, the comma splice, the placement of quotation marks and the capitalization in their neighboring words, the hyphen used in word division.
