新制度主义理论已经成为政治学研究的重要范式,但在基本概念、方法论、适用范围、制度变迁等方面也受到广泛的质疑与批评。作为对这些批评的回应,新制度主义者进行了多方面的努力,增强了其理论说服力,但这并没有解决批评者提出的所有问题,同时还带了不少新问题。不过总体而言,新制度主义仍是一种具有较好前景的政治学理论。

The new institutionalism theory is thought as one of important political study models. However, the basic concepts, methodology and applying ranges of it and institutional change theories are oppugned and criticized widely. In order to respond these criticisms, New Institutionalists have making great efforts to advance its＇ persuasion. But these efforts can not resolve all problems brought forward by critics, at the same time, bring out some new problems. But then, the new institutionalism political theory still has a good prospect in general.
