On the Ability of Interpretation and its Influence on the Cultivation of All-round Intellectuals of Foreign Languages

口译作为一种跨文化的交际活动,不仅仅是两种语言之间的转换,而是两种文化的交流与融合。本文从口译的实践特点及口译能力的构成要素出发,论述了口译能力的基本构成,认为口译能力是复合型外语人才的终极能力,旨在强调在培养复合型外语人才教学时应以培养他们的口译能力为主。

As a cross cultural communication activity, interpretation is not only a transfer of two languages but also a communication of two cultures. In this article the author has first discussed about the characteristics of interpretation practice and its components and put forward that the ability of interpretation is one of the supreme ability of all - round intellectuals of foreign languages. The author has also thought that the ability of interpretation should be put an emphasis on in the cultivation of all - round intellectuals of foreign languages.
